Committee Operating Rules

Listed here are the rules of operation within the IERN National Cemeteries Association.

The Committee agreed on the following at the meeting held on the 23rd of February 2005:

INCA is legally constituted as a branch of the IERM in terms of the constitution and resolutions of the Institute ordering the creation of the branch.
The Branch Committee to be composed of two representatives from each geographical branch of the IERM, two members that represent Affiliate member interests and a representative from SALGA.
In selecting representatives to serve on the INCA Committee. branches are requested to ensure that one representative is from a smaller municipality.
INCA will hold two ordinary meetings per annum and teleconferences as needed.
The IERM General Secretariat will provide organisational support for ordinary meetings of the Committee.
Office bearer term of office shall expireat the Biannual Congress of the IERM.
- Office bearers may serve for a maximum of two consecutive terms of office.
- Office bearers shall lose their committee position when no longer employed by an Authority Member of the IERM.
Any number of Committee Members present at a meeting shall constitute a quorum provided the 14 days notice was given to all Committee Members that such meeting was to be held.
The committee will regulate its own portfolios and appoint its own Committee Chairperson and Deputy Chairpersons.
