The IERM owes its existence to its members, to the 6 IERM branch structures around South Africa, as well as to the many organisations that support and from time to time join the IERM in its activities.
In particular the institute owes gratitude for their support, to some 200 municipalities, 350 municipal officials, the department of Water Affairs and Forestry, Food and Trees for Africa, various Technikons and Universities, Eskom, the South African Local Government Association, The South African Qualifications Authority, The National Botanical Institute, The South African Nurserymen's Association, as well as our international link, the International Federation of Parks and Recreation Administration.
