To register as a South African Certified Park Professional (SACPP), you need to meet certain requirements.

Member of IERM

AND

Relevant University degree, Diploma or Certificate; and

Two years of park work experience as assessed and providing competency in at least three of the CPP competencies.

OR

Five years of senior-level management experience (eg supervisor, consultant, senior planner) in either parks/ recreation/ cemetery / camp sites / facilities/ nature conservation; and assessed as providing competency in at least four of the CPP competencies.

 OR

Five years of management experience the above mentioned fields and completion of training as approved by the World Parks Academy Board of Regents that sufficiently meets at least five CPP competencies.

Note that where competencies are not fully met an Individual Development Plan can be developed with the applicant to achieve competency through further experience or training.
